WilGo Core POS
Case Study: WilGo Parts Retail
[ Private Infrastructure ]
Slow operations and multi-currency economy
WilGo Parts (my physical auto parts store) suffered severe operational bottlenecks. Commercial POS systems were not adapted to the reality of the multi-currency economy, forcing cashiers to use external calculators for currency conversions.
Furthermore, its legacy architecture caused slowness at the counter during peak hours, and lacked strict audits for cash register closures, cash injections, and discount control, opening the door to financial losses.
Financial Engineering and Extreme Speed
I designed and programmed a Full-Stack ecosystem capable of processing burst sales with minimal latency, shielded against data manipulation, and connected directly to exchange services.
High Performance SPA Architecture
Powered by React 19 and Zustand. Operating as a Single-Page Application, the cart and inventory state lives in local memory. The cashier experiences zero-latency, processing dozens of customers in minutes with no loading times.
Live Synchronization (On-The-Go)
Mobile-first design with two-way syncing. Enables making sales and billing personal deliveries straight from a smartphone on the street. Thanks to the global state, every transaction adjusts inventory and reflects in real-time across all devices.
Dynamic Multi-Currency Engine
The NestJS backend runs an automated CRON job that synchronizes official exchange rates in real-time. Allows concurrent billing with natively mixed payment methods.
Architectural Context: This system was specifically designed for the Venezuelan commercial ecosystem, acting as a technological shield against daily devaluation to protect the company's equity. For international deployments, the financial core is completely agnostic and can be adapted to any global integration (Stripe, PayPal) or stable currency model.
End-to-End Security
Beyond standard JWT authentication, I implemented a cryptographic interceptor (CryptoJS) that ensures full data integrity between mobile devices and the central server, protecting transactions across any network.
Strict Financial Auditing
Relational data model (PostgreSQL) that generates an immutable history of cash injections, withdrawals, discounts, and register closures.
Tech Stack & Infrastructure
Development Goal
To create a closed-circuit retail operating system, immune to human error and network injections, natively automating complex multi-currency calculations.
